Kuala Lumpur Hotels For All Budgets
Where To Stay In KL?
Bukit Bintang Hotels
During the last 30 years Kuala Lumpur has transformed itself with its salient architecture into a booming metropolis that is the commercial and business powerhouse of Malaysia.
As with any spectacular transformation the infrastructure has to keep apace and Kuala Lumpur has met this challenge with great aplomb by using smart tunnels to re-direct monsoon rains to prevent flooding, introducing an LRT (light rail transit) system including monorails in the city centre and its comprehensive road transportation system.
Kuala Lumpur is home to many administrative wings of both corporate and government offices, it is a centre of finance, insurance, real estate, media, and arts of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur also houses the stock exchange of Malaysia called the Bursa Malaysia, Central Bank of Malaysia, Companies Commission of Malaysia and the Securities Commission.
As with any ambitious city that has transformed itself into a business and tourism metropolis its hotels have to satisfy the needs of the vast array of travellers it needs to accommodate.
Kuala Lumpur Hotels have certainly evolved with the city and are capable of catering for anything from the busy Formula One weekend to state (both royal or government) occasions.
As to be expected of any capital city on the world stage the choice of 5 star Kuala Lumpur hotels is first class and there is a plentiful supply of mid range hotels and lower range hotels to accommodate all budgets and needs of where to stay in KL.
The Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur is a good high end choice when staying in KL, conveniently located within easy walking distance of the main shopping areas and the Twin Towers.
The Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur has 505 well appointed guest rooms are fitted with all the modern amenities expected of a city centre luxury hotel and facilities include a traditional spa, swimming pool, garden area, fitness centre and a choice of 5 dining options.
The Concorde Hotel has been a hotel I have have stayed in on many occasions when I have visited KL.
There is a choice of five dining options within the Concorde hotel including the gritty Hard Rock Cafe on the ground floor which is a good enough reason to stay at the Concorde on its own.
The Berjaya Hotel Times Square is in Bukit Bintang with an LRT (light rail) conveniently located just outside the entrance.
Visitors on a budget but want to stay in the heart of the city, or better still the buzzing Bukit Bintang area, have better choices than the 4/5 star hotels when it comes to location.
The Imperial Hotel is located on Changkat Bukit Bintang very close to the busy junction with Jalan Bukit Bintang (the famous Bintang Walk). Of the 3 hotels this one has the most car parking space.
The Agora Hotel is located just around the corner from the Imperial on Jalan Bukit Bintang, this is a good hotel but there are no facilities for parking.
No need for taxis after a hard days shopping as most of the big malls are on the doorstep of these Kuala Lumpur hotels.
After the budget hotels I mentioned earlier in Bukit Bintang another favourite of mine is the Grand Crescent Hotel located in the Brickfields area of the city centre.
Formerly known as the Hotel Grand Paradise this is a very popular Kuala Lumpur budget hotel for visitors from the Indian sub-continent.
There are standard, deluxe and family rooms accommodating up to five guests in comfortable surroundings available and if delicious Indian cuisine is your food fetish then this is the hotel for you with a plethora of fantastic Indian restaurants in the vicinity.

The Replica Inn is a close neighbour of the Imperial as it is also situated on Changkat Bukit Bintang, this hotel has limited parking.
Three hotels I would recommend in the heart of Bukit Bintang are, The Imperial, The Agora and The Replica Inn.
It has 650 contemporary suites that you can relax in after a hard days shopping or alternatively immerse yourself in the steam or sauna rooms before enjoying dinner in one of the sumptuous restaurants.

KL Hotel Reviews
I like the location on the LRT route on Jalan Sultan Ismail where access to Bukit Bintang walk and the Golden Triangle is only a short stroll away.
The location for these 3 hotels is fantastic, you literally step out of the door and you can feel the electric atmosphere of the 24hr Bukit Bintang scene.
The close proximity of the Golden Triangle and Changkat Bukit Bintang nightlife areas is another positive when researching your KL hotel selection.
