The Hornbill Cafe will satisfy your hunger after wandering around for a few hours, it serves a Eurasian menu designed to cater for most tastes.
Rich in flora and fauna the KL Bird Park emulates the feel of the SE Asian wildlife within the concrete metropolis of Kuala Lumpur city centre.
The KL Bird Park is not just a haven for bird watchers but a great family orientated Kuala Lumpur tourist attraction.
The natural sights and sounds of the birds are a far cry from downtown Kuala Lumpur and it is easy to forget you are still in the city centre.
The Kuala Lumpur bird park is not just for ornithologists as it is a great family day out with the brightly plumed birds flying from tree to tree in such close proximity it is sure to catch the childrens imagination.
The kids will also enjoy feeding the birds and it is worthwhile to check on the feeding times and live bird shows that occur regularly throughout the day.
Covering 21 acres it is reputedly the largest bird park in the region with over 200 species of birds flying freely within the confines of their specially landscaped free flight walk in aviary's.
The vast majority of the 3000 plus birds are from the Asia Pacific region intermingled with a few African and European species.
Be sure to take some water with you as you can expect to be walking around for between 2 and 4 hours in KL's tropical heat.
The KL Bird Park is located inside the Lake Gardens that forms a large part of the green lung of Kuala Lumpur.
The KL Bird Park is divided up into four separate zones to segregate the birds that could be a danger to one another.
