Seven years is the maximum term and on completion he was unanimously elected to be Emeritus President, a role specially created for him as an honour for the great leadership he had provided for the sport.
The positive impact he has had on worldwide squash cannot be underestimated and In 2002 he was unanimously elected as Patron of the World Squash Federation.
The Negeri Sembilan sport legacy lives on in the 'nine states' with the state government showing signs they recognise the value of staging sporting events that will attract outside interest.
Negeri Sembilan Extreme Sport
A Negeri Sembilan extreme sporting event came to the nine states in October 2010 in the form of the Gravity Jam 2010 where a specifically chosen road was closed for the day at the Star Fresh Agro Park in Bukit Putus, Negeri Sembilan.
Endorsed by Tourism Malaysia a great number of Longboarders, Shortboarders (normal skateboards), Streetluge, Buggy Cars, KSR bikes, InLine Skaters and many more gravity sports enthusiasts turned up to test their mettle on the super fast downhill course.
The Negeri Sembilan State Government again gave their backing to the 2010 Kenaboi River Challenge which since its inception in 1993 has grown in stature as an event attracting international interest in this challenging competition.
The Kayaking competition is divided into two separate categories; the Rapids Challenge and the River Challenge to be held over a two day period.
The Rapid Challenge involves traversing 4 separate rapids of varying difficulty in the best time to qualify for the final. The River Challenge is a 32km race on the Kenaboi River from Kampung Puom to The Triang Gilir.
Negeri Sembilan Golf
The Negeri Sembilan Masters Invitational is an annual golfing competition that is now part of the Asian Development Tour.
2010 saw the competition come to the Seremban International Golf Club and for the first time there was a home grown winner with S. Sivachandran easing to an impressive 12 shots victory with a tournament total of 18 under par 270.
The Nilai Springs Golf and Country Club offers 27 holes spread over three 9 hole courses which are Mango, Island and Pines.
On this challenging course you will encounter numerous sand traps, water hazards, island greens and two very special signature holes that are sure to test your golfing prowess to the limit.
The picturesque hillside of Seri Menanti is home to the Kelab Golf Club Seri Menanti.
This 18 hole course is open to the public and although not considered a difficult course it is very scenic with its woodland and hillside location.
The Port Dickson Golf and Country Club is home to a par 72 course that proves popular with the tourists and local golf enthusiasts alike.
There are many sporting facilities available here including a Gym, Table Tennis, Snooker Room, Games Room, Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Volley Ball Courts and Paint Ball.
Port Dickson Yacht Club
The Royal Port Dickson Yacht Club can trace its history only back as far as when it was rebuilt in 1927, without documented evidence it is difficult to ascertain the exact origins of the club although it is thought to be one of the oldest in Malaysia.
Regular racing events take place here including the annual Royal Port Dickson Yacht Club Regatta that is an eagerly awaited competition in the yachting calendar.

Negeri Sembilan Sports Aviation Club
The Negeri Sembilan Sports Aviation Club (NSSAC) has been in existence since 2003 and they now boast of in excess of 100 members. Their main sporting interests lies in Paragliding, Flying Fixed Wing Aircraft, Motorised Paragliding and Acrobatic Remote Control Flying.
Their ultimate ambition is to build an Aviation Park in a safe location within Negeri Sembilan with all the social and economic benefits that the extra tourism would undoubtedly provide, I wish them luck and hope they are successful.
