Continuing the Eco theme the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) have identified 143 different species of birds in the State Park and a great location for bird watching is the Timah Tasoh Dam where thousands of migratory birds stop off between the months of September to April.
Located by the border with Thailand in Guar Jentik, Besari, is the Perlis Paintball World which is the only paintball field in Perlis and it attracts enthusiasts from both sides of the border.
The Snake Farm located at Sungai Batu Pahat is a firm family favourite venue to visit and it is only one of two such snake sanctuaries in all of Malaysia, the other being in Langkawi.
There are more than 150 snakes here from 34 different species including King Cobras and Pythons as well as various other reptiles on show.
You can have your photograph taken with tame snakes and it is a good educational opportunity to learn about our slithery friends.
The Perlis Jamboree Run 10 took place in March 2010 attracting more than 1,300 competitors ready to compete across 47 km of tough mountain biking terrain.
It was organised by MTB Perlis and Perlis state government under the challenge of 'Ride Up North 2010' and attracted many hundreds of interested spectators.
