When the diffused light from the twilight sun reflects off the glimmering Sarawak river it is time for the Sarawak Nightlife scene on the atmospheric Kuching Waterfront esplanade to switch on the neon and get ready to pump up the volume as the Kuching nightlife owls prepare to party.

The second largest city in Sarawak is the oil rich city of Miri located in Northern Sarawak close to Brunei and is home to the best nightlife scene outside of Kuching.
The happening area for Miri nightlife is called Survey and it is situated outside of the city centre and is home to such fine establishments as Cherry Berries and Balcony night club and this area tends to be frequented by both locals and ex-pat workers alike.

Away from the city centre in Travillion Mall on Jalan Petanak is home to a new and vibrant Kuching nightlife scene which includes Bar Zing that has a refreshing decor for a chill out bar and MC3 that attracts a young crowd intent on dancing 'til they drop.
It is common knowledge that Kuching rocks down the Padungan Road but it is not the sole nightlife area of the cat city.

The Kuching riverfront esplanade may well be the most romantic meeting place in the city but the majority of the Kuching nightlife is based in the city centre with the in-crowd focusing on the Padungan Road area in Chinatown.
